The Gardens features three skating rinks, as well as The National Captial Curling Center . The Patrick Rink and Logsdon Pavilion both contain NHL-size ice surfaces (200' x. 85'), while the Resor Rink is of Olympic Size (200' x. 100'). Both NHL rinks are concrete based, while the Resor is a sand base. All offer the highest quality of ice and facilities.

Patrick Rink

Skating on the Resor and Patrick started in the fall of 1996, while the Logdson Pavilion was open for business in January of 1999. The National Capital Curling center opened its doors in February of 2002.

Broken in by the 1980 Olympic Alumni team in September of '96, the Patrick Rink also features seating for at least 800, and has held more than 3,000 fans for such special events as the annual MSHL Championships and the USA Hockey National Championships, to name a few.

The Lodgson Pavilion provides seating for nearly 200, with a standing room capacity reaching close to 3,000.  To add another special twist to the facility, the Pavilion's walls are capable of opening to produce the pond atmoshpere, which had previously been impossible to maintain considering the region's climate for much of the year.

No matter which rink you would like to skate on, all offer the highest quality of ice you can find anywhere.
