Work Sessions for Figure Skaters

Printable Work Session Calendars:

There have been a few minor adjustments  to the schedule. Contact the gardens ice house front desk for changes

The Gardens will be offering work sessions daily to accommodate the competitive figure and dance skaters. A work session (WS) will consist of skaters wishing to practice freestyle, field moves and dance. Eligible skaters must have passed the indicated level to skate that session (some sessions are a combination of two levels):

  • (O) = Open to all skaters
  • (L) = Low: No Test, preliminary
  • (I) = Intermediate - Pre-Juvenile + Juvenile
  • (H) = High - Intermediate and above
  • (D) = Dance - Ice Dance ONLY
  • (*C) = Class - Must be that level to join

Commencing January 1, 2004 Gardens Sports Limited will be changing the freestyle work session payment options. PRE-REGISTRATION will no longer be offered. Instead we will offer the following:

New Worksession Package: $285 for a monthly pass of 36 sessions.  Pass can only be used by one person; pass is good only from the start of the month to the end for the month. Anyone who skates over 36 sessions, can get additional sessions for $7.91 per session.

Prices

- Walk-on $12.00
- $95.00 for session card
- $400 for a monthly pass of 80 sessions($5.00 charge for each session over 80)---One skater per pass

Monthly Unlimited Passes

. Must be purchased prior to month in which they are to be used.
. Will not be pro-rated.
. Are not for 30 days from date of purchase - they are from the first of the month to the end of the month.
. Work sessions will be on first-come, first-serve basis.
. Having a pass does not guarantee a spot.

Refunds will only be offered when The Gardens Ice House is closed unexpectedly due to weather or mechanical failure.

Capacity on the Resor Rink is 33, capacity on the Logsdon Pavilion 28, and Patrick Rink 28.

We hope this new policy will provide our customers more flexibility and will result in more time on the ice and less time at Guest Services.

Please, make all checks payable to: Gardens Sports, Ltd.

For additional practice ice, private hourly rentals are available. Please inquire at the Guest Services Desk or with our skating director , Kathy Gates.

For the safety and well being of ALL our figure skaters The Gardens Ice House will be enforcing the following basic rules of etiquette for Work Session ice. *

1. The MAXIMUM number of skaters during any work session on the Olympic rink is Thirty-Three (33) and on the NHL rink is Twenty-Eight (28). Exceptions will only be made by the Competitive Figure Skating Director.

2. All food and drinks, other than water bottles, are prohibited on the ice during work sessions by skaters or professionals.

3. All skaters entering the ice during any part of a session will be counted as a participant of that session and will be expected to pay the appropriate fee BEFORE they enter the ice.
